How long you've known someone does not equate the closeness of your friendship. Uni taught me this At the weekend when I found out the news that one of my close mates had been taken from this world I burst into tears immediately. I'm still struggling to believe its true. Starting university 6 months ago I knew no one, Rak was one of the first people I met and we got on straight away. Rak was so funny, great to be around and was an all round amazing guy. He didn't have a bad bone in his body and was one of the most genuine and selfless people I had the privilege of meeting. We both studied Law together, played football together and chilled together, and it kills me to think that we're not going to have another "deec" time as he would say. Now struggling to think of a suitable replacement to now cut my hair, or have late night library sessions with, or dance ridiculously when we're out clubbing. We might no longer be going on our lads holiday with the boys this summer or going to see J. Cole but that doesn't mean I'll forget all the good memories that we had.
